What are the settings change when you zoom and focus in a zoom lens?
Suppose I have a 70-200mm zoom. I zoom to 130 mm and the mean, press the shutter button to auto-focus, something moves inside the lens and adjusts its target. What are the parameters of the lens has changed in the two previous steps, respectively? For lenses with a duration not to change the focus, there is always a focus ring to be adjusted, what's the difference?
